Biography
From her earliest sketches to her celebrated contemporary works, Anne Belov has built a creative universe where imagination, empathy, and artistry come together in every stroke. 

Anne Belov is an American painter, illustrator, and cartoonist whose lifelong love of drawing began in early childhood. Growing up with a natural curiosity for visual expression, she immersed herself in books, sketching, and imaginative storytelling from a young age. This passion led her to formal art training at the Philadelphia College of Art, where she studied painting and honed her understanding of composition, color, and visual narrative. She later continued her education at the University of Washington, expanding her skills in printmaking and developing a disciplined studio practice that grounded her early career. 

In her foundational years as an artist, Belov explored traditional forms of painting and printmaking, often creating works that blended atmospheric realism with subtle humor and gentle introspection. Her early exhibitions showcased pieces with a strong sense of mood and character, reflecting her interest in the stories behind everyday scenes.
