Michael Ferguson is a Seattle born American artist known for his landscapes, cityscapes, and evolving representational works often drawing on personal experiences, memory, and the natural world. Although largely self-taught, he briefly studied at the Burnley School of Professional Art in Seattle before embarking on a full-time career as an artist.
Ferguson’s work moves fluidly between representational landscapes and narrative scenes drawn from memory, experience, and introspection. His paintings often hold a quiet emotional resonance, capturing not only a place but the feeling of a moment, the solitude of a shoreline, the rhythm of a city street, or the subtle poetry of ordinary life. Over time, his style has matured into a thoughtful blend of observation and imagination, marked by confident brushwork, gentle tonal shifts, and an enduring sensitivity to light.
Today, Ferguson is recognized for the authenticity and depth he brings to his subjects, as well as his willingness to let his work evolve alongside his personal journey. His paintings continue to offer intimate views into both the natural world and human experience.
